ATH Builds A Team Handball Court! With the help of the Cobb County Parks and Recreation Department and the USA Team Handball Foundation, Atlanta Team Handball has resurfaced a pair of old tennis courts to become the first official-size, outdoor team handball court in the Southeast (maybe even the USA!) We will start practicing and competing on the new court right away! Pictured on the court (minus the new goals which will be installed shortly) are ATH players Lugman Salam, Matt Callahan, Nick Fusco, Jeff Goss, Joe Lamour and Ryan Hansell. The blue and grey court is lighted and completely fenced.

Team Handball is not new internationally, but most Americans just learned about it at the Centennial Olympic Games here in Atlanta. It is a fast-paced sport that takes the best of soccer and basketball and combines them into a game with lots of scoring, player contact and excitement.

Atlanta Team Handball Association began a volunteer program in 1996 to offer young players the chance to compete in a local recreation league, plus identify and train exceptional players for advanced competition around the world. Our teams have been to Sweden, Russia and Canada.
